More of the property is open to sun and wind, there's usually more edge to manage along fences and outbuildings, and mature trees on the lot mean a heavier fall leaf drop. Cutting too short stresses the turf; leaving it too long between cuts means a single pass takes off more blade than it should. The practical rule is the same one we use everywhere: never take off more than about a third of the blade height in one cut.
We adjust the deck height across the season instead of leaving it fixed, and we work around gates, driveways and outbuildings so the whole property gets done in one visit.
